Traditional Workshops

This trip gives the opportunity to meet the local community in the Rwenzori mountains and get to know their know-how and traditions: handcrafts, blacksmithing, Bakonzo traditional dance and preparation of local food dishes. You will also have the chance to meet traditional healers and storytellers. Purchase of local hand made products will be possible on site.

Village Walk

The trail begins in Kilembe Valley where the walk towards the Mbunga Camp Site (approx. altitude 1700m)  is located. You can choose between walking, hiking or taking a boda-boda to get there. From the camp site, you will have the opportunity to visit traditional homes of the Bakonzo tribe, enjoy great views of the valley and visit the local school, church, trading centre, etc.

No worries, the package excludes lunch but you will get it at the restaurant "Gode Dager."

If you want to live a memorable night in the mountains, we also offer accommodation in our camp site (Four bedrooms and camping space for tent).

Kakule Trail

The trail starts from Kasese, and include the visit of the equatorial line, the Katunguru fishing village by the Kazinga channel, Katwe salt lake, and the Uganda-Congo border market (only on Tuesdays and Fridays) or the boat cruise in the channel. In addition to this, there will be plenty to see along the way as you will drive along one of the most diverse national parks in Uganda, with the opportunity to see different wild animals and birds. The driver will make plenty of stopovers.
